If you're serious about woodworking, you already know the Bosch 1617EVS is kind of a legend.

This 12-amp, 2.25 HP fixed-base router gives you all the power you need for edge work, joinery, or freehand routing – and the variable speed dial (8,000 to 25,000 RPM) means you can dial it in perfectly for any material, from soft pine to dense hardwoods.

No bogging down, just clean, smooth cuts every time.

The fixed base is rock-solid, with threaded holes that match the common 3-hole pattern for router tables – so you can drop it in and start adjusting bit height from above the table without crawling underneath.

And those rounded hardwood handles?

They're not just pretty – they give you a comfortable, secure grip even during long routing sessions.

Plus, the microfine bit-depth adjuster lets you sneak up on that perfect cut in tiny increments.

Constant response circuitry is the unsung hero here – it keeps the RPM steady even when you're pushing through a heavy cut, which means fewer burn marks and a cleaner finish.

And if you're into template work, it's ready to go with an optional guide adapter that accepts both Bosch quick-release guides and common threaded ones.

The kit comes with both 1/4-inch and 1/2-inch collet chucks, so you're covered for just about any bit you own.

Inside the hard plastic case you'll find the fixed base, both collets, shaft and collet wrenches, chip shields, a T-handle hex wrench, and even screws for table mounting.

It's a complete package that's built like a tank – aluminum construction, double-insulated, and backed by Bosch's reputation.
