If you already own a DEWALT DW616 or DW618 router, this DW6182 plunge base is the upgrade you didn’t know you needed.

It’s built to give you smooth, accurate plunge cuts with zero fuss.

The tool-free steel motor cam lock lets you adjust depth and swap bases in seconds—no wrench hunting required.

And the integral dust collection system?

It captures about 95% of the mess while keeping your bit fully visible, so you actually see what you're routing.

The brass bushings and hardened steel guide rods make every plunge feel silky and precise, while the clear LEXAN sub-base is tough, lets you see your work, and accepts standard template guides.

Rubber overmolded handles and a low center of gravity give you comfort, balance, and control—even on longer runs.

The 5-position turret stop handles stepped or repeated plunge cuts like a champ, and the micro-fine adjustment dial moves 5/128-inch per turn—perfect for that super-precise work on veneers and inlays.

The plunge lever and switch are easy to reach, so you stay in control the whole time.

Built from heavy-duty die-cast aluminum, this base is durable without being a boat anchor.

Whether you're doing dovetails, inlays, or just need dead-on accuracy, this base delivers.

It's a solid, well-thought-out piece of kit that makes your DEWALT router even more versatile.

If you take your routing seriously, this is the base you want.
