How to Block Apps From Accessing The Internet (No Root)

Maybe you have a lot of apps on your android smartphone. But sometimes we hate some apps that accessing internet automatically (It usually downloading ads). You will ask a question "how to prevent apps from accessing internet?". It's easy. You need to install a data firewall app.

At the moment, I want to share how to make CSS speech bubble without using any image. You might often see chat style like below on the web.

Web designer call it speech bubble. Mozilla forum also using this style. How to create it? Just understand following steps!

You need a box, I'm using div tag, You need to write some rules for your div tag and add pseudo elements :before and :after. If you want to create CSS speech bubble without border, you can use :before only. But if you want create it with the border, you need :before and :after.

Here step by step to create CSS speech bubble.
#1 Create div tag and give it class. For example, I give it class "bubble".

First, we need a select element inside element. But, you need write it inside

At this time I want to write a simple tutorial how to create CSS buttons as we can find on so many website on the internet. It's like Google buttons. Imageless, it's written using CSS without need any images for gradation. CSS buttons will be loaded faster than image buttons. So it will increase page speed loading of your website.

In this tutorial I will create in four different colors: blue, orange, red and grey. Here we go.

On class .blueButton, you can see background-color: #4d90fe. This color will not appears except user open the page using web browser that doesn't support gradient.

How about background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(top,#4d90fe,#4787ed)? This is CSS rules for gradient. It's written in 5 rows for cross browser compatibility reason. There's difference of interpretation between Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari.

color: #fff for font color of the button.

font-weight: bold to make font bold on the button.

padding: 6px 8px: Padding is a rule for make space between content and border. Bigger padding will make bigger object.

3 Important Things To Do After Installing Windows 7

It's been a long time I don't post on my blog , I'll share simple tips to do After Installing Windows 7. So many people don't care about their system and data safety. Now, I wanna share three important things to do after installing Windows 7. It's for your system and data safety.

After Installing Windows 7 I always doing these things:
#1 Make Sure Windows Update feature is active
It's very important for security of operating system . Microsoft always patch every their product include Windows 7. To make sure it active or not, you can access Control Panel through Start Menu

Click System and Security

Click Windows Update

Click Change Settings.

It's recommended to select "Install Update Automatically". Set to "Every day". You can set the time as you wish. Before you work or after you work, or while you break. Click "OK" to apply settings.

#2 Set Location of Documents to Logical Drive
I often seen so many PCs or notebooks only have one partition on their harddrive. It very risky for your data. When you install Windows 7, I hope you create at least 2 partitions. One for file system, other one for store data. So, when your system has error, and need to reinstall operating system, you will not lost your data. Because you store it on logical drive. Here steps to set location of documents to logical drive.

First, you need to create new folder on your logical drive. For example your logical drive is D:. You need to create New Folder named My Documents or whatever as you want.

From "Start Menu" you need to right click "Documents" and select Properties.

Click Include a Folder. and Click a folder you've created and Click Include Folder.

Click Apply and then close it. Now, default documents location is D:\My Documents. Every file will save to this folder automatically.

#3 Create Restore Point after you've finished windows and drivers installation
Windows installation takes about 15 or 20 minutes and drivers installation maybe takes more that. It will sucks if you make system error when you install applications. You need go back to earlier time. System Restore is the nice feature for that. But before you use it, you need to set restore point first on your system drive. Follow these steps.

Right click "Computer" on Start Menu and choose Properties.

Select "System Protection".

Click "Create" button.

Type description for your restore point. For example I type "ConditionAfterInstallWindows7". This is a condition of the system on first use. Click "Create" and then "OK".

Done!

Oh, I have nice tips to speed up response of Windows sub popup menu.
Press Windows Key + R to show Run dialog box. Then type regedit. Click OK.

You will see Registry Editor Window.

Access HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Control Panel -> Desktop. And look for "Menu Show Delay".
Double click it and change the value to 1.

Close the window and restart your computer. Now try to right click on your desktop and highlight each menu. Sub menu will show with faster response.

As we know Voxer is walkie talkie app special for smartphones. There are some people are looking for Voxer for BlackBerry. They don't know what devices that supported by voxer app. I don't know what vendor that supported by voxer.

Based on information that I've got from Voxer Official Site, voxer app compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 4.0 or later, and Android operating system.

For you are looking for voxer app for BlackBerry device, I hope you can be patient to waiting for Voxer for BlackBerry because I have found a statement of the Voxer Support at support.voxer.com. There is someone asked about voxer for BlackBerry and then the Voxer Support said: "We have no plans to implement Voxer on Blackberry at this time" on November-11 2011. It's means Voxer not support BlackBerry at this time. Just be patient to waiting for Voxer for BlackBerry. Next time, maybe Voxer will available for BlackBerry.

How To Disable Automatic Updates on AVG Internet Security 2013

Automatic Update is a very important feature on antivirus or internet security software. Because this feature keep your virus definition stay up to date. But when you do so many task on your computer/notebook, automatic updates feature will be a something sucks. Because this feature will take more memory usage during you perform your task on your PC.

At this time, I want to share how to disable Automatic Updates feature on AVG Internet Security 2013. It easy to do. Please follow these steps.

#1 Open AVG Internet Security 2013 using double click the icon on desktop or system tray area.

#2 Click Options menu and choose Advanced Settings. So Advanced Settings dialog box will appears. On left side menu, Click Schedules, expand the menu using click + button beside it. And then Click Definition Update Schedule. Look at the right side, uncheck Enable this task. It means you disable automatic virus definition update.

#3 On the step #2, you only disable automatic virus definition update, AVG still performs automatic updates on next time because Program Update Schedule and Anti-Spam Update Schedule still enable. To disable all automatic updates, You need to uncheck Enable this task on Program Update Schedule and Anti-Spam Update Schedule. Click OK. Done!. Now Your AVG Internet Security won't perform automatic updates when you do so many task on your PC/notebook.

But I recommend to re-enable all automatic updates on your AVG as soon as possible because your internet security will decrease the protections if you never perform updates. Good luck! :D

Now, BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) not only for BlackBerry Smartphones but also Android and iPhone users can use it. According to BlackBerry official site, BBM released to public after delayed about a month on October 22, 2013.

As we know, Chrome is a reliable browser besides Firefox. Google always made amazing software for every purpose. For me, chrome is the fastest browser and easy to use. It also has so many themes that you can apply to your chrome for free.

At this time I want to share how to change Chrome theme. Please follow steps below.

Click Google Chrome menu at the top right corner and choose Settings.
Click Get themes button. So many themes will appear at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/themes?hl=en.
You can choose the one of them.
Get the mouse over there and click FREE button to apply the theme. For example, I choose Lamborghini theme.

Wait for a while after you click FREE button, it will need few seconds to change your chrome theme. When it finished, chrome will change the theme automatically.

How To Make KMPlayer as Default Program To Open All Video Files

I am sure everyone who has computer collect videos on their computers. So many video formats such as FLV, AVI, MP4, WMA, 3GP, M4A, etc. Sometimes they has more than one video player softwares on their computer. So it makes the videos can be opened by more than one player. For example: you have three video players on your computer, Klite, GOM Player and KMPlayer. In this case you want to open videos using KMPlayer, but your system always open the videos with Klite automatically. How to change default program to open video to KMPlayer? It so easy friend!

First open KMPlayer. I am using KMPlayer version 3.6. Open Preferences by press F2 or right click on bottom toolbar, choose Options - Preferences. You can see picture below for detail.

On Preferences dialog box, select Association/Capture and then click Association tab above. Click Video Only button to make all video files automatically opened by KMPlayer. Click close if finished.

Now, when you click all video files, it will be played by KMPlayer. Good luck!

Chrome is a browser that used by many internet users in the world. Google always made good product. Chrome browser has good performance. It doesn't use more system resources. But there are some people confused how to show Home button and Bookmark bar on Chrome. As we know Chrome's view unlike Firefox's view. On Firefox we can see Home button and Bookmark toolbar. These have been set as default settings. But on Google Chrome doesn't show Home button and bookmark bar as default.

What is bookmark bar? This is a toolbar to save website url that you've been marked. What about Home button? Home button is a button to show home page url of your browser. Look at the picture below!.

When you finish install Google Chrome browser, you won't see both home button or bookmark bar. To show these. You access settings through click Chrome menu on the top right corner below Close button and then click Settings. Look at the picture below!

On Appearance section, you can see 2 check boxes, Show Home button and Always show the bookmarks bar. Check the boxes there like picture below!

Now you can see Home button and bookmark bar on Google Chrome.

Oh my God I almost forget to using blogger. It has been long time I didn't use it. Now I want to share about Youtube videos. I know everyone knows Youtube, the biggest free video hosting. Everyone can upload so many videos there. We can watch videos there or download it using downloader software such as IDM (Internet Download Manager) or download via keepvid.com. How To Rotate Video 90 Degrees Using Little App

I hate when I watched a tilt video on my PC. Now I find a little application to rotate, flip add effects to a video. With this software you can flip a video horizontally or vertically, you can also rotate a video 90 degress. This little app is VirtualDub.

First, you can download VirtualDub here. It has small size (only 1.6 MB). After download finished, extract zip file. You will find many files there. Just double click VirtualDub.

Open your video file you want to be rotated. Click Video menu and then Filters (You can also access it using CTRL + F). On Filters dialog box, click Add, and then select Rotate2. If you want rotate video 90 degress, you must type 90 on Rotation angle textbox. Click OK - OK to apply change. You will see your video has been rotated 90 degrees. At this time I want to share a tip how to convert a currency to other currency with Google search quickly.

Many currency in the world and of course it's different between country. The most famous currency that often used in the world are USD (American currency), GBP (Great Britain currency), AUD (Australia currency), EUR (Europe currency), JPY (Japan currency), SGD (Singapore currency). There are many ways to convert between these currencies. But I want to share to do it using Google search engine. Please follow steps below.

#1 Open Google.com
#2 For example, I want to convert 100 USD (American dollar) to EUR (Europe currency). So type "100 USD to EUR" (without quote) and then press ENTER. You can see the image below.

This tip not only for currency I've mentioned above, but also you can convert the others currency from every country by using 3 letters code according to ISO 4217. You can do it like step #2 above. You should type value1 currency1 to currency2. Please fill value1 with amount of source currency, fill currency1 with 3 letters code of source currency and fill currency2 with 3 letters code of target currency. When you press ENTER, you will find the amount of your target currency.

#N.B. I cannot mention all of 3 letters of currency codes. For 3 letters of currency codes according to ISO 4217, you can see on Wikipedia.
