Target Board Power Selection

To power the target from Power Monitor, complete the following steps:

Select Power Category

In the Project Properties window, click on the Real ICE™ category and from the Option categories drop-down, select Power.

Set Up Target Power

Under the Power option category:

  • Check Power target circuit from REAL ICE.
  • Specify the target voltage under Voltage Level. The levels available are based on the project device operating range. The voltage is selectable in 125 mV increments.
  • Click Apply.

Debug Run Information

During a Debug Run, this configuration (Power) provides power to the target using the standard modular connection. There is a sense resistor in the path that feeds the Vdd connection to the modular (RJ-11) plug and this is where voltage and current are measured. This configuration provides the widest range of current (from mA to A) to be monitored.
