Panels (YC S25) builds high-quality human voice data for the next generation of speech and audio models. We're looking for a software engineering intern to help build the platform behind it. You'll work across the stack on systems for audio recording, data quality, human review, and internal operations, shipping production code used by thousands of contributors every day.
This role is in person in San Francisco.
What You'll Work On
- Build and improve applications for collecting and reviewing speech data
- Create internal tools that make complex data operations easier to run
- Work with TypeScript, React/Next.js, and Postgres
- Investigate and fix production issues across the stack
- Ship to production quickly
What We're Looking For
- Fluency in at least one programming language
- Evidence that you build and finish things: shipped projects, prior internships, or production code
- High ownership and comfort working on ambiguous problems
- Care for product details and data correctness
- Ability to move quickly without losing sight of quality
Nice To Haves
- Comfort with SQL and relational databases
- Experience with audio, speech, or machine learning data workflows
- Interest in voice AI, human data, and the infrastructure behind model training
