What is Reverse Video Search

What is Reverse Video Search?

Reverse Image Search technology, like Tineye, Yandex, or Google reverse video search, enables you to search using a reference footage clip instead of keywords. Search by video, iStock’s reverse video search tool, looks at the content and composition of your uploaded clip and finds similar stock videos or images.

Why use Reverse Video Search?

Sometimes it’s easier to show an example than try to describe something with words. Reverse video search helps you:
icon composition
Use an example image to see similar compositions
icon file
Find an original file based on a thumbnail or screenshot
icon image
Find stock photographs or images related to a video
icon video
Find stock video related to a still image
icon filter
Find inspiration browsing similar visuals based on a favorite video
icon identify
Identify products, plants, or animals from a reference clip
