  • Released Inkwell 1.2 for Mac, adding a new reply window to send a reply directly in the app. Show the Conversations window when reading a post that is also on Micro.blog.

  • Improved photo file size and resolution when cross-posting to Bluesky. Bluesky has updated their API limits this week.

  • Fixed some book-related issues with sorting bookshelves and dealing with blank ISBNs.

  • Inkwell beta for iOS has been updated with a new version. Anyone can join the beta on TestFlight. The final version for iOS and Android will be released soon.

  • We’ve released Micro.blog for Android version 2.6.6 with several fixes. See the full release notes on the help site.

  • Bluesky’s infrastructure is under heavy load right now and automatic cross-posting from Micro.blog may fail in the logs with a “NotEnoughResources” error. If this happens, you can try manual cross-posting under the Posts screen when Bluesky is happier.

  • Updated the beta of Inkwell for iOS with lots of little improvements. You can sign up for the TestFlight beta here.

  • Fixed a file upload issue processing some HEIC images.

  • Apologies for the publishing errors today and other slow parts of Micro.blog. We’ve fixed one issue but our servers are currently under very high load. Thanks for your patience.

  • There were some intermittent errors for some blogs today while uploading files or publishing. Everything is back to normal. If you ever see any problems, don’t hesitate to reach out to support via email.

  • Micro.blog 3.6.6 for iOS has been released in the App Store with several improvements, especially fixes to the text editor, photo viewer, and searching your posts.

  • Added support for photo collection shortcodes in shared notes. See this help page to learn more about photo collections.

  • On the Uploads page, fixed the “…” → “New Post” menu item from actually attaching the image to the new post.

  • Updated Inkwell for Mac to version 1.1.3, adding a new photo window for when you want to zoom in.

  • Fixed Conversation.js so that it creates timeline items for older blog posts that were imported. This essentially fixes the reply box not showing up on your blog in some cases. It is only active for accounts with a global /feed.json in Sources.

  • Added special support for rendering Wordle puzzles correctly by default, so you no longer need to remember the Markdown trick for formatting lines with two spaces at the end. Micro.blog detects Wordle and adds the spaces for you.

  • Fixed an OPML sync issue that could cause some feeds to be duplicated. This does not affect OPML file import, just the new feature where you can set Micro.blog / Inkwell to automatically refresh from an OMPL file under account settings.

  • Released Inkwell for Mac version 1.1.2, updating the toolbar and fixing a bug or two.

  • Added a new help page with a better intro to Inkwell, including links to the apps.
