Atalanta rejected Inter Milan's opening bid for Ademola Lookman last week, and the Super Eagles star is unhappy about that…
Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman has officially submitted a transfer request to Atalanta amid links to Inter Milan, Soccernet.ng reports.
Since the opening of the transfer market, Lookman has been linked with many top clubs in Europe.
However, Inter Milan took the initiative two weeks ago and agreed on personal terms with the Super Eagles star before submitting a €42.5 million bid to Atalanta.

But it was confirmed that La Dea rejected the offer some days ago, insisting on at least €50 million before they consider selling.
Following that news, Lookman unfollowed Atalanta and deleted all posts of him at the club, a move players make when they want to force their way out of a club.
As of press time, Inter Milan have not put in a second bid yet. But Lookman is taking matters into his own hands.
The Super Eagles star still has two years on his contract at Atalanta, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, he has submitted a transfer request to the club.

Lookman's message does not come as a surprise. It fact, it is the culmination of a number of issues.
Just as he wrote in his message, last summer, he was heavily-linked with many top clubs across the top five leagues in Europe. In fact, he was close to joining French Ligue 1 club PSG, but the deal eventually fell through.

The French giants went on to win the UEFA Champions League and played at the Club World Cup.
Then, last season, he had a fallout with then-coach Gian Pero Gasperini after the Italian tactician publicly criticized him for missing a penalty. It was that period it was revealed that Lookman had an agreement in place with Atalanta for him to leave this summer.
Understand plan remains for Ademola Lookman to LEAVE Atalanta this summer.
Atalanta will try to clarify the situation with Gasperini in the next 24h after strong quotes… but won’t change future plans.

It is already July, and Atalanta are holding on to the Super Eagles star despite links to other clubs.
Now that he has openly declared his intention to leave La Dea, there might be a shift. Lookman is valued at €60 million on Transfermarkt, but Atalanta want €50 million at least.
