How to report ads
Step 1: Confirm that it's a Google ad
The first step is to confirm that the ad you want to report is in fact a Google ad. Here are some of the different types of Google ads you might see.
- Ads on Google Search: These are ads you see on Google Search results pages and other Google services such as Google Shopping.
- Ads on non-Google websites and apps: You may see Google ads on non-Google websites and apps. You can identify them as Google ads if you see an AdChoices icon
accompanied by the
icon that allows you to block the ad.
- Ads on YouTube: These are ads you see at the bottom of YouTube videos, or on the right side of YouTube videos.
Step 2: Report the ad
There are several ways you can report an ad.
- Report ads directly from the platform where they appear. Look for an
or
icon on the ad within Google Search, YouTube, Play Store, or other services. Select Report ad
and the reason you’re reporting it, then fill out the form and provide any additional information. Learn more about reporting an ad.
- Report from My Ad Center. You can report an ad you've recently seen through My Ad Center. Follow the steps below.

- Locate the specific ad you wish to report.

on the ad.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to submit your report.

Once submitted, you will receive an email confirmation. Google will then review your report and, if necessary, take appropriate action on the ad.
